About

Center for Change is an alcohol and drug addiction treatment facility that is located at 1333 North Broadway Street Suites C and D in Wichita, Kansas. Treating substance abuse involves multiple stages of treatment through a recovery program such as that offered by Center for Change. This can include group counseling, individual counseling, outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, and medically assisted detox, among many others. Treatment programs are based on the individual themselves and are constructed to suit each patient individually. Just as every person is unique, so should treatment programs and that is exactly what patients will receive at Center for Change.

If addicts do not obtain the right type of support and guidance, they may find treatment to be very difficult as the thought of sobriety can seem so far-fetched. At Center for Change, professional counseling and guidance are provided to all patients aged 18+, giving them the strength needed in order to obtain a life that is free of drug and alcohol addiction. By altering the patient's outlook on life through addiction treatment, they will be able to stay positive throughout the duration of rehab.

The staff members at Center for Change have a mission and that is to give patients effective and quality addiction treatment so that long-lasting sobriety can be obtained. The path to a positive future starts on a positive foot and that begins at Center for Change. Confronting addiction is a difficult thing to do, but it is the most important step in the recovery process. Through professional counseling during the patient's time in treatment, patients will learn coping skills and trigger management which is imperative to the success of maintaining sobriety.

Maintaining sobriety on one's own is extremely difficult, especially when the addict has tried to go 'cold turkey' on their own. This is because it requires medically-assisted detox in order to properly and safely wean the body off of the substance of abuse. This way the body does not go through sudden withdrawal nor experience harsh side effects. Center for Change can provide patients with all of the necessary tools, treatments, and resources so that patients have every opportunity to succeed in recovery.

Getting treatment is the best option when seeking a life that is free of substance abuse. Get the help required now and start living the best life possible. Contact Center for Change by visiting www.wichitawellness.com/addictionstreatment.html now.

This place is why i am not dead today. I dont understand what the issues are, with those who gave this place a bad review. Perhaps they broke the rules and theyre bitter cause they were booted. I have had only one bad experience and it wasnt anything to tantrum here about. I am in recovery because of them. My counselor is awesome, groups are good, and I have friends who are clean, finally. Dont allow these bad reviews to keep you from getting treatment here or any other clinic you go too. This clinic is small, personable, about 99% of the time the lines are short. But they do not take medicaid. Oh and THEY DO NOT CUT YOUR DOSE BECAUSE YOU PISS HOT! They will take 10mgs off your dose if your come back positive for benzos. BECAUSE BENZOS AND METHADONE MIXED CAN KILL YOU! A little edit and this is specifically for Connor OCallahan, what youre saying about Heidi is complete bs .Your bitter probably cause you got booted for failing your screens .They give you plenty of chances and help before they discharge so stop lying on them. Heidi is my counselor, she is super nice and she has gone well out of her way to help me. I am a compliant patient and have been for over 2 years. Just cause you arent or werent dont be sht talking her or that clinic. I have had a very positive experience and i am sober for the 1st time in over 20 years .

When I went to center for change they were always nice and helpful. The only thing I dont like is having to change counselors alot but that happens at most clinics. When you relapse they don't just say oh your in trouble they talk with you to try to find why you did to be able to stop it next time. Carrie is a great counselor!

Dr. Lakin is great all around. It seems the people who have the problems with C.F.C. have a bigger issue with accountability and are not yet ready to get clean. And the "office lady" Kari, has zero idea what it is like to be an addict. She acts like she is the end all be all in the treatment world. Dr. Lakin should do himself and his clients a huge favor by letting her go. It's not her clinic as she thinks it is. She is doing more damage than good. Her skills would be put to better use in emptying colostomy bags. She has ZERO PEOPLE SKILLS, Anyone who had dealt with her will tell You the same. Kari, it's time for you to move one before you kill someone.
